Organizing Your Way launched on December 26th, 2008. This disclosure, although updated in light of the FTC’s new rules for bloggers, applies to all of the content you’ll find here.

Organizing Your Way is a division Purple Martin Press, LLC, a West Virginia limited-liability company owned and operated by me, Mandi Ehman.

With the exception of occasional guest posts, all of the content on this blog has been personally written by me. All product reviews reflect my personal opinion. While I do my best to provide accurate information, any product claim, statistic or quote about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or service provider.

I blog for income. I wish I could afford to pour hours each week into this blog for free, but I can’t. I provide all of the information on this blog for free to you, the reader, but I pursue other income opportunities, such as advertising, free products that my family would use anyway, affiliate marketing and electronic products such as ebooks.

You’ll notice several rotating ad spots, hosted by the Lifetime Moms Network, on every page of the blog. The advertisers pay Lifetime and Lifetime pays me. I love being part of this network because a lot of the ads appeal to me personally.

I also host private ads in my sidebar from companies I know and love.

I do receive free products to review. However, it’s important that you know that I also turn down many of these requests. I only accept products that I believe will be useful or interesting to you as readers and that I believe I can honestly endorse. I never promise a good review in exchange for the free product, and I always try to share the drawbacks of a specific product as well. Whenever possible, I include a giveaway for readers along with my review, and I often end up giving away my review product as well.

I do not post paid content because — while I don’t think there’s anything wrong with an occasional paid post — I think that it would undermine your trust in me. I also do not accept text ads embedded in posts. Any link in any post on this site leads to an article or product that I believe is relevant to the topic.

However, I do include affiliate links in posts when such links are available, including but not limited to those products sold by Amazon.com. In general, I receive a small portion of the sale when you make a purchase after clicking on one of those links. I only include these links when I believe they’re relevant and useful.
